Alicia Silverstone Channels Cher Horowitz at the CFDA's
Update, 6/7: If Alicia Silverstone's red CFDA gown gave you major Clueless vibes, the actress herself felt the same way too.
"I haven't worn red in a long time, but red's fun because it was so iconic with Clueless. I don't think I've worn a red dress since then," she told People. She sported a goddess-like gown by Christian Siriano at the event with braided straps and matching braided heeled sandals. Consider it the grown-up Cher look.
According to Siriano, reprising the memorable '90s date night look from the movie was completely unintentional, but dressing Silverstone (and Selma Blair too) was still fun.
"I love dressing them," he told People. "They're just great people. And that's what you have to have tonight, dates that you love."
